(1) Monday, was able to finally put to rest any notion that I would have to work permanently for the supervisor I don't like working for. The higher-ups who had given the impression that this was an inevitability in fact said that they simply wanted to offer the opportunity to me before hiring anyone else. Crisis avoided!
